The holiday season is fast approaching, and with so much to do, finding the time to put together meals can be difficult and expensive. Meatball Crostini:

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 6-8

What you need: 1 Package Five Cheese Garlic French Bread (597), prepared. 12 SCHWAN'S Italian Style Meatballs (432), prepared. Marinara sauce and olives, cherry tomatoes or onions for garnish. 

Directions:

1. Cut French bread into 4 individual slices

2. Top bread with prepared meatballs

3. Top with a little marinara sauce and garnish with olive, cherry tomatoes or onion on a toothpick

 

Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Dip:

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 45 minutes

Serves: 14-16

What you need: 

1 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing

3/4 cup Buffalo sauce, divided

2 packages (8-0z.) cream cheese, softnened

1 1/2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese, divided

1 tsp lemon juice

1 1/2 cups Fire-Grilled Chicken Breast Strips (469), slightly thawed and chopped

1/4 cup chopped green onions

Crumbled blue cheese, optional

Tortilla chips, crackers and/or vegetables

Directions:

1. Preheat ovento 350 degrees F

2. Combine dressing, 1/2 cup buffalo sauce, cream cheese, 1 cup Colby Jack cheese, lemon and chicken together

3. Place into a shallow 1-quart baking dish. Top with remaining 1/2 cup of Colby Jack Cheese

4. Bake 25-30 minutes or until mixture is bubbly and heated through

5. Garnish with onions, remaining 1/4 cup Buffalo sauce and blue cheese

6. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, and/or vegetables

 

Holiday Cookie Trees:

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 2 hours

Serves: 18

What you need: 

36 pieces Chocolate Chip Cookie Dought (615), thawed

2-3 tubes (4.25-oz.) green or white decorating icing with tips

Assorted cinnamon hard candies and sprinkles

Directions: 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine 18 cookies together

2. Shape dough into 3 balls (1/3-cup size). Shape into 3 more balls (1-Tbsp size)

3. Place the 6 dough balls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden. 

4. Continue repeating the steps, making 3 more balls each of 1 1/4", 3/4". and 1/2". Reduce baking time as circles get smaller

5. Assemble tree by fixing largest cookie to serving platter with a dab of frosting

6. Place large dab of icing in center of each cookie. Add the next largest cookie and repeat steps, stacking largest to smallest 

7. Add additional icing and decorations, if desired

8. Drizzle frosting around outer edge of cookes to decorate. Add additional frosting and decorations if desired

9. Serve cookies individually by separating layers with a knife

 

Chocolate Caramel Cookie Bars: 

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 60 minutes

Serves: 12

What you need: 

12 pieces SCHWAN'S MONSTER MANIA Cookie Dough, thawed

1 cup thick caramel topping

1/3 cup butter

1 1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1 7-oz jar marshmallow cream

1/4 cup peanut butter

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup heaving whipping cream

3/4 cup crispy rice cereal 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

2. Spray a 9x9-inch baking pan lightly with cooking spray

3. Press cookie dough into baking pan

4. Bake 13-15 mintues or until lightly golden on top. Cool completely and top with caramel topping

5. Bring butter, sugar and milk to a boil in a saucepan, stirring continuously. Reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes, stirring continuously. 

6. Stir in marshmallow cream and peanut butter and spread mixture over caramel layer. Freeze 10 minutes

7. Microwave chocolate chips and cream in bowl for one minute, stirring every 15 seconds, or until chocolate is completely melted and smooth

8. Stir cereal into chocolate mixture and spread over marshmallow layer

9. Cool bars 1 hour or more until set prior to cutting.
